What’s New With Our Vespa VXL 150?
Vespa has been the customer’s favourite since it first launched. Now its ready to bring an updated version to its list! Piaggio, the parent company of Vespa, has updated the 150cc scooter range for 2019.
Vespa has announced the facelift of its 150cc scooters, the SXL150 and VXL150. The Vespa Notte now officially joins the 125cc range as a limited edition. It is a cosmetic variant that gets the all-black treatment. It is priced at Rs.68,800
Design & Features
Three new colours have been added to the range: a matte red, matte yellow, and blue. Machine-cut alloy periphery wheels have also made their debut on the 150cc Vespas. As standard, the SXL and VXL 150 get Bluetooth connectivity, which allows owners to locate nearby service centers via GPS positioning. Riders can also ‘find, navigate and follow their bikes’, as per the company. There is also a ‘Find Me’ feature that allows the user to locate the scooter in a parking area. The Panic Alert feature helps the user to reach out to the pre-set emergency contact with the current location, should anything unfortunate occur.
Mechanically, there are no changes to the SXL150 and VXL150. They continue to be powered by a 150cc air-cooled single cylinder engine. The Vespa SXL and VXL 150 are powered by 154.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. Working in conjunction with a CVT unit, the motor pushes out 10.06PS and 10.9Nm. So, They have front disc brakes and are built around a monocoque chassis and single-sided front suspension with an ‘anti-dive’ feature. Moreover, Brakes include a 220mm front disc and a 140mm rear drum. The scooters ride on 110/70-11 front and 120/70-10 rear tyres shod on alloy wheels.
The Vespa SXL 150 costs Rs 97,276. However, the VXL variant will set you back by Rs 91,140. The Vespa Notte 125 was also launched at Rs 68,829.
