Vespa And Aprilia Scooter Range Launched With ABS And CBS
The all-new Piaggio India has announced that the entire range of Vespa and Aprilia scooters has been updated with ABS and CBS safety technologies. The two-wheeler brand had started rolling out CBS and ABS upgrade at the start of the year, ahead of the deadline set by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Piaggio India has updated its entire range of scooters with CBS and ABS technology. The update comes in line with the country’s latest safety norms for two-wheelers. The CBS and ABS on offer claims to ensure enhanced braking offering a great riding experience.
The incorporation of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) allows vehicle braking without the chances of slipping, providing greater control for the rider and enhancing the effective braking. Similarly, CBS (Combined Braking System) allows equal distribution of brake forces, increasing the stability of the vehicle. The company claims that its products were already compliant with ABS in the previous year. However, they are launching the products now to fit into the general demand.

The other major details of Piaggio has updated its Vespa and Aprilia scooter range with CBS and ABS. They are the first manufacturer in India to offer ABS on a scooter.
It incorporates ABS for the 150cc scooters and CBS for the 125cc scooters 125cc Aprilia and Vespa scooters now get combined braking system (CBS). Scooters with engines displacing more than 125cc get ABS Updated scooters to be delivered to customers starting January Starting April next year, all two-wheelers with an engine displacement of 125cc and above that are sold in the country need to be equipped with ABS, while two-wheelers that below 125cc require CBS as standard. The new regulations mean that the Aprilia SR 150 range and the Vespa 150 range now get the safety net of ABS.
