Valmakry – The Helmet Guy!
Not a bona fide rider, but definitely a wondrous explorer. The Helmet Guy, Valmakry. “I am a great believer of LUCK and I find the harder I WORK, the more I have of it.” Indeed he doesn’t call himself as a rider but a traveler who enjoys its own company.
Where he stated that ‘I always wanted to travel, meet new people, places and try out different food etc. I will choose any means of transportation to reach a place that I have in mind. I started traveling on a bike but I don’t think that makes me a rider.’ But there is definitely something way more different in his travelings with his helmet. The character he portrays is actually a tadpole and though ‘Valmakry means tadpole in Malayalam.’ A tadpole who is exploring our beautiful Planet.
The Character Traveller
No wonder why this title does suit him well. “There is another awesome experience when I rode from Kochi to Mumbai in 27 hours. I woke up late and I rode day and night to reach Mumbai to attend the launch of OnePlus 5. The very ride that changed my whole life. That is when I first introduced myself as the character I created. Because in one of my GoPro selfies I looked like a big black tadpole.” Where he got his name ‘Valmakry’. The character traveler.
Being a true wanderer he has been learning and motivating us every time. ‘Every journey teach us something new. I don’t mind taking a bus or car or any other means of transport. Doing things differently will only add new experiences to our life. I like to stop whenever I see a beautiful place and spend some quality time there. Talk to the people there and ask them about any other hidden places there. Buses and Trains limit that experience to a particular extent.’
I’m a man of curiosity
The man behind the helmet is indeed the one with curiosity. Even we want to know the face behind this helmet for sure. The one who is taking a fictional character to real-world. Where he believes in going for unplanned trips and exploring them, he got one of the experiences to share.
“Most of my solo rides are spontaneous, not at all planned. There was this one time I was riding through the Cochin city road during the night and suddenly felt like watching the sunrise. I didn’t think twice. Got into the highway and rode straight to Kanyakumari on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. Reached there at 4 am in the morning. Talked with the local people and Fishermen and watched the Sunrise with them. I like when the rides are spontaneous, there is a thrill to the whole ride.”
No matter where he go, no matter what he does. His work is quietly appreciable and something super remarkable.
I like to keep my future plans a secret. After all, I am a man of curiosity right!!
Just another hopeless writer who whirl feelings into words!
