Tata is coming up with its new SUV, the all new Tata Harrier!
Tata has now come up with its new SUV with the H5X version called as ‘Tata Harrier’. The name has been a long speculated one and brings the automaker’s new flagship SUV one step closer to production. The Harrier is based on a derivative of Land Rover’s LR550 platform, Tata likes to call ‘Omega Arc’.
Whereas, Tata has announced that the Harrier will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It will also get ESP as a feature and will also get ‘Terrain Response Modes’. We believe the Harrier will be available as a 4WD as well. Tata is yet to reveal whether the Harrier will also get a petrol engine or not.
Not only this, Size-wise, they’re expecting it to be larger compared to the Jeep Compass. Speaking of which, the Harrier will borrow the 2.0-litre diesel engine from the Jeep. The Multijet diesel engine makes 173PS of power and 350 Nm of torque under the bonnet of the Compass, and we’re expecting similar figures from the Harrier. There’s no confirmation on the Tata Harrier petrol just as yet.
Well! Tata Harrier is going to launch in India with an estimated price of Rs. 15.00 lakh. Tata Motors first unveiled the H5X concept at the Auto Expo earlier this year and will be positioned above the Nexon in the company’s line-up. The production-spec Tata Harrier is expected to be revealed by the end of this year, while commercial sales will begin in the first quarter of 2019.
Now, along with the standard Harrier, which is a five-seater, Tata might also launch the 7-seater version of the new SUV to take on the likes of the Mahindra Scorpio and Honda BR-V.
Where, Tata has taken an initiative to launch a super stylish and super amazing SUV we are looking forward for the launch precisely.
