Tata Tigor Facelift launches in India.
The all new Tata Tigor 2018 launched in India today.Tata Motors has today launched the mid-cycle update for the Tigor compact sedan in India. It retails at a price of INR 5.20 lakhs to INR 7.38 lakhs (ex-showroom). As before, it continues to compete with the likes of Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and the Volkswagen Ameo.
Other than this, the Tata Tigor facelift also comes with slight alterations on the front bumper as well. These give the compact sedan a fresher look. The side profile remains exactly the same as before. Tata has even retained the design for the alloy wheels. Towards the back, the overall design of the compact sedan is the same as before. The design for the tail-lamps, just like the headlamps, features a new look. It now gets a clear glass design with new internals.
The 2018 Tata Tigor Facelift retains the current model’s parent layout. The major difference one is going to observe is in the centre console. Here you get an all-new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It comes as standard with Apple CarPlay. Android Auto connectivity is going to come at a later stage. Other than this, this compact sedan continues to offer the same cabin layout as before.
In terms of its feature list, it still gets automatic climate control, steering mounted audio and telephony controls, electric ORVMs, electric windows among other features. In terms of safety, where the Tata Tigor Facelift gets dual-airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard fitments.
Exterior & Design
The exterior styling changes are kept to a minimum which makes sense as the car was launched just last year. It gets mildly tweaked headlamps, clear lens taillamps, a shark fin antenna and new 15-inch alloys. A new blue exterior colour has been added to the palette.
There has been a no change in the engine specification of this car, as it continues to come with the same petrol and diesel engine line-up. The petrol derivative gets a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Revotron engine. This motor is capable of churning out 84 BHP along with 114 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel derivative still comes with the 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder, Revotorq engine. This oil-burner is capable of producing 169 BHP along with 140 Nm of peak torque. As standard, both the engines come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, with this update, the 2018 Tata Tigor Facelift now gets an AMT gearbox on both engines as well.
We are looking forward for a better capacity engine vehicle ahead.
