Expect Cleveland Cyclewerks Misfit And Ace Deluxe in India by October

Cleveland Cyclewerks, the American brand had displayed its India constrained Misfit and Ace Deluxe motorcycles at the Auto Expo 2018. By October the Misfit and Ace Deluxe are ready to launch in India.

The Misfit motorcycle is a street cafe racer, with an array of cutting edge tech, like the classic gauges driven by stepper motors for precise control whereas the Ace Deluxe is a scrambler-type bike and is designed to serve a more dual purpose and is a slight upgrade from the “standard”, classic but with modern components for higher performance.

The deliveries will commence in November, soon after the launch in October . The Misfit is likely to cost Rs 2.49 Lakhs and Ace Deluxe might launch at Rs 2.23 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The duo is 250cc cruiser motorcycles with same engine specs. J Misfit claims to be heavier by 11 Kgs  than the Ace Deluxe.

Both the bikes will come with the same engine specs, powered by a 229cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces around 15.4 BHP of power and 16 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch.

Both the bikes come with Inverted telescopic forks in the front and pre-loaded adjustable twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. For braking both use front and rear disc brakes but with different disc sizes.The difference can be seen on the chassis on both the Cleveland Cycle Werks bike. The Ace Deluxe uses High Carbon steel Square backbone chassis whereas the Misfit comes with a steel tubular cradle chassis.

The Misfit weighs around 144 kgs and the Ace Deluxe weighs around 133 kgs. While the Ace Deluxe comes with a fuel capacity of 14 Litres, the Misfit comes with 15 Litres capacity. As we go through the dimensions, the Misfit is a bit bigger than the Ace, also with a longer wheelbase.

Lastly, with prices starting at Rs 2.23 Lakhs, it might be a bit costly. At this price range, there are no 250cc cruisers. Now, there is Royal Enfield, UM, and Avenger series. Comparatively, both the bikes are much higher priced than their rivals.
